What's the latest at Mount Olive Bible College, ABC's prison ministry?
Although in-person classes have been on hold since last March, last week two faculty members were cleared to set up an office and meet with small groups of MOBC students. Answered prayer.
Preparations are being made to launch the spring 2021 semester; lectures will be delivered via closed-circuit television since full class gatherings are not permitted. Lord willing, the implementation of computer tablets for students will soon be complete, thereby facilitating the men's independent studies.
About 25 inmates are currently enrolled in the Bible/Theology and Pastoral B.A. program at the maximum-security prison. More about MOBC: abc.edu/mobc

For the fourth time in five years, an ABC athlete is 3-point champ. Congratulations, Jonathan Brooks!
‘Crown em’; Brooks outshoots competition to become NIT 3-point champion
---
Jacksonville, FL—Jonathan Brooks’ decisive victory in this year's Men’s 3-point competition marked the 4th time in 5 years that someone from ABC has brought home the hardware. Last year Kara Schultz of the Women’s team brought home the honors while in the years 2018 and 2017 Eric Miller defended his own title and won the competition twice in back-to-back years.
Brooks did enough in the first round tallying 12 of the 25 possible points to make it into the 2nd round which allowed 6 of the 12 competitors to advance. This set the stage for Brooks as for the second round only the top 2 competitors of 6 would advance to the championship round.
Brooks being the first to go, dazzled as he hit 17, the highest of anyone to secure his spot at a chance to bring home the title for ABC. Earning the opportunity to go last, Brooks had the advantage of knowing what he needed to score to win as his opponent hit 10 to set the mark to beat.
With all 4 women’s teams and all 6 men’s teams from the tournament, including his own teammates watching in support, Brooks would put on an absolute show as the sophomore was scorching hot from the arc in his last 2 rounds. Hitting the competition high of 18, Brooks walked away with a decisive victory laying claim to the Men’s NIT 3-point champion and once again bringing home the title for ABC.
