Women's Volleyball Coach - Kristen Cale
Kristen Cale has coached the Lady Warriors since 2013, after serving one year as assistant coach. Her playing career included the positions of libero and back row, and she made First Team All-Region while playing for Appalachian Bible College. Her passion for volleyball springs from the mental challenge to play smart and the teamwork that the sport demands.
Coach Cale has found that coaching extends beyond the court. Time spent before matches in prayer and reflection on God's word with the team, and a constant availability to her players aid her as she disciples the young women.
Each year the team establishes prayer partners and memorizes a passage of Scripture. This season's verses are Ephesians 5:15-16, "See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil."
According to Coach Cale, volleyball develops discipline, perseverance, integrity, commitment, and teamwork. Each of these virtues apply not only to sports, but to all of life, and especially to the team's walk with Christ.
Seeing the team grow closer to Christ, having them develop discipline on and off the court, building team unity, and persevering and improving throughout the season: these are the goals that Coach Cale has for the Lady Warriors.Email Coach Cale
